BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS

Today, I give thanks to God and my parents for giving me life 58 years ago. I was born with physical limitations; I struggled with self-love, self-pity, and insecurity. I had many challenges in life. Yet, I stand today on my birthday with a grateful heart.

Through my memoir, “Shake the Dust Off Your Feet and Walk,” I shared my deepest personal journey from darkness to light, from not wanting to live to enjoying life. Today, I participate and show up for life as a sober woman of faith and grace.

I am extremely blessed. I love life today. Challenges in life are inevitable. Instead of running away, I can find meaning in everyday life and accept the good and the unacceptable with God's grace. It's an opportunity to change and grow as a sober, faithful woman.

I encouraged all to share my memoir, “Shake the Dust Off Your Feet and Walk,” available on Amazon, to spread the message of hope and strength. Share with people that life is good and worth living. Today's bonus was blue skies, the sun shining, playing pickleball and golf, and having lunch with my boyfriend, Brian, overlooking the water. God is good.
