MISS YOU, MOM

I am composing this blog in remembrance of my mom. Thirty-four years ago today, we bid her farewell. Little did I know, it marked the start of my spiritual, faith journey.

“On that freezing cold January evening,

my mother was at home in a hospital

bed, surrounded with warmth and comfort from six of her children and her faithful husband. We had placed Mom in the television room so that she could greet her family and many friends who walked through the door with her great smile. She had a view of the crucifix on the wall, a picture of Our Blessed Mother by her side, and a rosary in her hand. As her body was failing and riddled with pain, she always smiled and never complained. She looked awful at the end, yet when I looked in her eyes, she was beautiful. I always told her that she was beautiful, even with a bald head and sunken cheeks. Her eyes told a story filled with love for us all.”- insert from my memoir, “Shake the Dust Off Your Feet and Walk”.

It feels as though just yesterday I was beside my mother, praying and hoping for her recovery, wishing she would rise and walk again. However, that was not meant to be; she passed away to be with God. My journey, of course, continued. From that night forward, I began seeking the meaning of life. I learned to brush off the dust and navigate through trauma, grief, pain, and suffering, ultimately finding a place in my heart where peace and serenity reside, where God is present.

I encourage everyone to read my memoir, "Shake the Dust Off Your Feet and

Walk", which is available on Amazon. Join me on my spiritual, faith journey and share my story. It offers hope and strength to those who are grieving, facing challenges on their spiritual path, or seeking the meaning of life.

Today, I am thankful for my mom, for her passing, and for her presence with me on my spiritual path to freedom and love. Moms hold a special place in our hearts. I miss you, mom. Rest peacefully in God's embrace. Please give Dad a hug for me.

Forever Grateful,

Gina
